In the beginning God created
the heavens and the Earth, and in the sixth day created man to His image and likeness, this will show that the human
being would have certain perfections or attributes of God, and according to our human condition of created beings, these may
have include; reasoning, love, etc.
When man and woman
disobeyed God, sin entered into the world, and as a consequence the human being and the whole creation were destitute
of their position before God, likewise the coming generations. Since that moment the whole human race would come in their
natural state of sinners, shorts of the glory of God, man in this condition, (enemy to a God of love and His laws), and nature,
would enter to a process of decay and death (physical and spiritual). Genesis 1,2,3.
Although some of us may say;
"well I have my family in order and I have helped the poor, I never have used drugs or got drunk, I never been incarcerated,
or I went to church since my childhood".
The Scripture shows some examples
of alienation against God:
In Romans 1:29-32 "being filled
with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers,
haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy,
unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death,
they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them".
In 2 Timothy 3:1-6 " But
realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful,
arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control,
brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form
of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households
and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses."; Although in some people the practices
of sin is of a lesser degree, with respect to others, It is very serious; the Bible says: "All have sinned
and fall short of the Glory of God".
In Romans 6:23. - For the wages
of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In John 3: 3 "Jesus answered
and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." ".
In this altered situation,
man does not have the necessary means to search for the true God, because is dead spiritually in their trespasses and
sins, therefore in that condition God can not accept them, this is because he demands perfection, according to His
Holy nature; man, by the other side, needs a perfect mediator that will bring back humanity to their comunión with God.
Is for this reason that at the appointed
day, God sent His Son Jesus Christ, like a substitute and representative of sinners; Our Lord Jesus, who did not considered
being equal to God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond servant, and being made
in the likeness of men; and being in the condition of man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross; and because the wages of sin is death, God showed His love toward us, in that while we were sinners,
Christ died for us. (Efesios 2; Filipenses 2; Romans 3 and 5; I Timoteo 2; Galatas 3.)
What can we do so God
can show His grace towards us and give us Eternal Life? Nothing... that we can think somehow please God, rather,
we must surrender and ask God begging for the salvation of our souls, recognizing before Him our sin, by believing firmly
in Our Lord Jesus, and His redeeming work on the cross. (Juan 3, 5; Facts 8, 16; Romans 10)
What if we do not want to
believe in Him?
"Whoever believes in the Son
has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.” John 3:36
"Then I saw a great white throne
and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great
and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead
were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death
and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades
were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book
of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Rev. 20:11-15
What will happen to us who
believe?
"Then I saw a new heaven and
a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City,
the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard
a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be
his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no
more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne
said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and
true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty
I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will
be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those
who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is
the second death.” Rev. 21:1-8
